Marriott Vacation Club to invest 2.5 million in Son Antem’s East Course

The system supplied by TORO is state-of-the art and will improve the distribution of water, providing higher uniformity and efficiency to the watering process resulting in a significant reduction in consumption.
The surface area of the course under irrigation will also be reduced to make the course more sustainable. This will lower our CO2 emissions and return the course to its natural state, integrated in the original landscape to reduce the impact on the environment, whilst maintaining the essence and playability of the East course.

During the renovation process all our guests will be welcome to play in the West golf course, which will remain fully operational.

MALLORCA MAGAZIN GOLF CUP 2022

This autumn, the popular MALLORCA MAGAZINE GOLF CUP will once again take place at the GOLF DE ANDRATX course in Camp de Mar and, as usual, is nearly fully booked.

The tournament will be played over 18 holes in single Stableford format, with handicap effect. The tournament will start at 8:30 a.m. with breakfast on the terrace of the well-known club restaurant CAMPINO, where the welcome packs provided by FET A SOLLER will be distributed to the participants. At 10:00 a.m. the tournament will start with a shotgun start.

In addition to the halfway catering by SCHWAIGER, the players can expect a few additional surprises during the round. This year, in addition to a Longest Drive and Nearest to the Pin, there will also be a Nearest to the Doctors by FACHARZTZENTRUM PAGUERA and Nearest to SIXT.

The sporting competition will be followed by the social part. A delicious buffet awaits you in Mallorca’s most beautiful halfway house. This is also where the award ceremony will take place, followed by a raffle with great, attractive prizes.

Of course, there will be an after golf party with live music, as has already been the case at several MM golf tournaments.

The Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final, supported by The R&A, will return to the Club de Golf Alcanada in 2022, having last held the event in 2019, where Italy’s Francesco Laporta landed the Rolex Grand Final and the Road to Mallorca Ranking double.

The final event of the Road to Mallorca will take place between 3-6 November 2022, as players look to secure one of the much-coveted 20 DP World Tour cards for 2023.

Golf Son Muntaner, a pioneer in Mallorca in implementing the double teeoff.

Golf Son Muntaner will implement the double tee-off in 2023 in the hours with the highest demand, coupled with outstanding service, which promises to raise golfers’ experience to a new quality level.

Palma, August 12, 2022 The double tee project at Golf Son Muntaner is an initiative of Arabella Golf Mallorca that is being launched with the aim of developing the infrastructure and services needed to provide golfers with a better experience and better service, positioning Golf Son Muntaner as a benchmark course not only in the Balearic Islands but also in Europe.

Double teeoff, double the chances.

Double tee-off is when a golf course offers simultaneous tee-offs from the first and tenth tees within a given timeframe. Golfers who tee off on the tenth tee finish their round on the ninth, and those who start on the first hole finish their round on the eighteenth.

A double tee-off benefits the course in several ways. First of all, it allows for better control of the pace of the game. If a group is delayed on one side, it will not affect the course the entire day. Secondly, the double tee-off maximises the number of tee times available so that golfers can play 18 holes at the most in-demand times. Third, there are fewer disturbances by field maintenance crews.

In order to take Golf Son Muntaner to the next quality level, the following improvements will be made:

The starting times will be as follows:

  • 9:00 am to 11:00 am / 1:20 pm to 3:20 pm / 5:40 pm to 7:00 pm (the latter in summer time)
  • The starting time interval drops from 12 to 10 minutes.
  • Three starting times are included during the 35 weeks of high season in the most indemand hours.
  • Increased services, which will benefit our customers at all times, from their arrival at the Clubhouse to their departure, by creating a Bag Drop area and redesigning the traffic flow at the club’s entrance and exit.
  • Extending F&B’s opening hours by opening the restaurant at 8:00 am.

Son Servera Golf Club

It’s mid-September and the high season is just around the corner. The course has survived the hot summer very well and we have used the time to get some work done.

The course is in excellent condition for the numerous guests who will be visiting us over the next few weeks, mostly from Northern Europe.

We would like to mention the following points in particular:

  • We have filled up the bunkers with new white quartz sand.
  • Some tees have been replanted and renovated
  • Drainage systems have been installed to prevent wet areas
  • A new software now ensures sustainable water management
  • A new net, new tee mats and lighting were installed for the driving range.
  • New premium range balls from Bridgestone arrive in October
  • Our greenkeeping team is now supported by the AVANT multifunctional machine

All these renovations have been made to enhance your playing experience!

A successful golf season awaits us, and we are looking forward to your visit.

Pula Golf Resort

Pula Golf Resort has this year inaugurated the first TrackMan driving range system to be installed in Mallorca. The software allows users to track and view ball speed, tee angle, precise distances and shot shape, making it the ideal place to warm up before a round on the course.

The TrackMan system is not just for the tech-savvy golfer. Fun mini-games such as ‘Longest Drive’, ‘Nearest-to-the-Pin’ and ‘Bull’s Eye’ allow guests to compete against each other and on the leaderboards, the system opens golf to a whole new audience of beginners and families.

Pula Golf also boasts a new gym and spa, which includes a range of state-of-the-art fitness technology, an indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath, Scottish shower and even a variety of relaxing massages.
